Ann Moran's paintings reveal a love for nature as she seeks to capture the tranquil beauty of New England. The graceful vulnerability of flowers are a special interest to her.
The artist studied two dimensional design at Pratt Institute and received the highest award at graduation. She studied fine art with several well-known artists, including George Gache and John Gould. While working in the textile field in New York City, Ann Moran created designs used by Belding Hemingway, the Goodyear Company as well as many other companies.
Ann taught oil painting in her studio galleries at Oyster Bay, Long Island and Warwick, New York. Ann Moran has had many one person shows throughout New England. A series of her wild flower paintings has been published and distributed worldwide by Kaplan Fine Art Publishing Company. Hundreds of Ann Moran's paintings are in private collections. Her works are also owned by banks, corporations and municipalities.
Palette Talk, a nationally distributed artists' magazine, published an article about Ann Moran, illustrating her work and explaining her creative concepts in painting.
Ann Moran has been a member of Lyme Art Association since 1978. She is also a member of the Professional Society of St. Augustine, Florida, and the American Artists Professional League of New York City.
